TO Lawnsales
Lawnsales strives to offer our customers a superior online alternative to conventional newspaper advertising. We are the only online site that allows you to bargain for merchandise prior to your sale. You can list your items for sale and if you choose not to accept the BID, you can sell your items at your garage sale. Simply select "Add Products" on the "ADD" form when listing your sale, and add as many items as you wish for a flat fee of 75 cents. Registered users will be able to bargain for your items up to one day prior to your sale.
Our Charity Commitments
Lawnsales has a strong community commitment and submits a portion from every listing to a charity within the community you reside. e.g. A registered charity in Los Angeles will receive a donation from each listing from Los Angeles. An example of a few of the charities we currently support are the Humane Society, Salvation Army, Children's Wish Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. If one of these charties is not located in your town, we will choose the next nearest community to you. If you wish to specifiy a charity you would like to support, please let us know. Funds are always sent on behalf of the customers of Lawnsales.
FEES
Lawnsales charges a fee for listing your sale
which is substantially less expensive than most
conventional newspaper advertising. All fees are in U.S. dollars and are as
follows:

We also provide a convenient "Remind Me"
feature for email notification one (1) day prior
to a chosen sale.
HIT COUNTER
Lawnsales provides you
with a free hit counter that will record traffic to your listing so you know exactly how
many people have viewed your listing. In order to avoid multiple clicks on your hit counter, we have configured this feature to only record "unique" traffic which means that the same IP address viewing your listing does not get counted more than once per hour.
THE SELLER
In order to use the BARGAINING feature, you must
have a garage sale, yard sale, fleamarket, estate
sale, etc listed. You may choose to list for as many days as you like but it's important to note the BARGAINING feature will end one (1) day prior to your sale that is one day in duration. If your sale runs for 2 days, bidding will be available until the end of the first day of your sale. The purpose of the BARGAINING feature
is to try to sell your items prior to having your
sale but not during. When you receive a Bid, encourage communication
and interest on your item. Email each other for information.
You are given 2 options to respond to the
bidder's price:
Sold
Not Sold
Once you change an item to "Sold" the item will no longer be able to be viewed. You should make your payment and shipping arrangements directly with the Bidder you have sold the item to. As the Seller, you are not required to accept any bid
received if you feel the item may be worth more
or you will get more at your garage sale.
THE BIDDER
In order to bid on an item, the Bidder must be
registered with Lawnsales. All communications
are between the Bidder and the Seller only. If you enter a BID and you want the Seller to consider your offer, please email the Seller at the time and ask them if they will accept your bid. The Seller does not have access to bidders email. If you wait, someone may out bid you and you may end up bidding more unnecesarily. Please communicate directly with the Seller by email. Please note that all bids are in U.S. $'s unless otherwise specified. The Seller does not have to accept any offer by the Bidder if they feel the offer is too low. We
believe that most people are honest and that any
agreements made will be honored. The bidder assumes all shipping costs unless otherwise agreed upon between the bidder and the seller.
HINT: The idea is to bargain, so start your bid lower than the asking price
Lawnsales is not responsible for any default
by either party.
WHEN DOES IT END
The Bid Now feature will automatically expire one
day prior to your garage sale. If you have a 2 day garage sale and the listing is on for the duration of the 2 days, the BID NOW feature will expire at the close of the first day of your garage sale. At this time all items will be automatically deleted from our system.
BEST TIME TO USE BID NOW
To benefit from this feature, you should list
your garage sale etc at least 5 days in advance
as follows:
Monday list your sale and choose the Buy Now
feature
Friday Buy Now will end
Saturday/Sunday Garage Sale
